THE TEAM

There is absolutely no way we could give our customers the attention and care they deserve without a team and we are proud to introduce you to ours!

Eva

”the vonne”

Hi I’m Eva! Vonne actually comes from my stage name - Eva Vonne (Aldridge doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue). I have been called the “Metal Hannah Montana” (by some girl I met on a plane after describing my double life to her lol). My true love in life is performing. I began playing viola when I was very young and went to a performing arts high school (Erykah Badu and Norah Jones are alums!). I was able to find a niche for myself in metal (weepy strings!) and have played all over North America and Europe with Dead to a Dying World and Sabbath Assembly. I recently was able to start playing music again in the Pacific Northwest with Isenordal from Seattle and have added singing to my repertoire. I’m also obsessed with high end interiors and colorful Southern design. If I could live in a Dorothea Draper or Mario Buatta designed room I would. I also live for pattern matching and classic fabric patterns.

After earning my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas in 2011, I began working at Buffalo Gals Upholstery in Dripping Springs, Texas. After my apprenticeship I made custom window treatments for Susi’s workroom for clients all over the United States and made leather handbags and accessories for Noah Marion Quality Goods in Austin, Texas. I also attended Austin Community College and earned a certificate in Drafting and Design from their Computer Aided Design program.

Mattie

Mattie is the one here at House of Vonne that makes everything happen. Mattie tears everything down and builds everything back up and has a hand in every piece that comes through here.

When Mattie’s not at House of Vonne, they can be found manning the record shop for Black Water Records and also at Black Water Bar slinging drinks and being bartender extraordinaire. I don’t know how this fellow Texan does it, but somehow they also make time for all of their creative passions - playing synths and touring the world in Rigorous Institution, collecting rare comics (I mean they’re really an archivist if we’re being honest), and raising the best little troupe of furry friends - Hoagie, Ms. Dumpling, Isabella Jolene, Pepsi and Cody (their husband).

DeAndra

Deandra is a California native who relocated to Portland to live her best life with her sidekick Stevie Dog. She has been sewing since she was 15 and went industrial in 2015! Nathan Fielder on the mind, loves to shoot pool, and made 2023 her personal year of the CORNDOG. Vintage cars? Yea, she’s into those.

Deandra has been working closely with H.O.V. and we welcome her as our stitcher as she enjoys putting her creative skills towards unique pieces. With her funny jokes and industrious spirit, Deandra is making an impact.

Meaghan

Meet Meaghan, an Oregon native who recently returned to her roots after an exciting stint in New York. She’s traded in her bartending apron for a career in auto upholstery, specializing in the artistry of leatherwork. Alongside her automotive pursuits, Meaghan dabbles in furniture upholstery, adding an extra layer of finesse to her craft.

In her quest for excellence, she has chosen to refine her skills at House of Vonne, a testament to her commitment to professional growth. She’s a woman of precision and style, ensuing that every project meets her exacting standards.

Beyond the workshop you’ll find her cruising around in her trusty Tacoma or attending live music. Meaghan embodies a dynamic, skilled professional who’s unapologetically passionate about her craft while unafraid to make her mark in the upholstery world.
